Gaedeke Group Partners with Local Fire-Rescue to Host Critical Multi-City High-Rise Fire Training
April 27, 2018
Dallas, Texas – Dallas-based real estate firm Gaedeke Group is a proud partner of local fire-rescue teams. When Plano Fire-Rescue recently identified the need for collaborative high-rise fire response training to keep up with booming development in the area, Gaedeke Group offered up a venue: One Legacy West. One Legacy West is a LEED Gold-certified property featuring 307,824 square feet of office space dispersed across 14 stories. The property’s cutting-edge construction boasts the latest in firefighters’ technology, making it a prime setting for the training that brought together firefighters from the cities of Lewisville, The Colony, Frisco, McKinney, Allen, Richardson, and Murphy.
The training allowed these departments, all of which might be working together in a real high-rise fire scenario, to hone operations within the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and Incident Command System (ICS), streamline multiagency coordination and communication, and practice suppression of high-rise fires. Captain Alex Simmons called the training, which concluded in mid-April, an “invaluable exercise for all participating cities.”
Gaedeke Group Vice President of Property Management Amanda Green expressed the firm’s gratitude, noting that “the pride in what Gaedeke does stems from a pride in operating the buildings we own and a passion for relationship building. We strive to create and enhance community and are honored by the opportunity to partner with those who are driven to protect and preserve by the same principle.”
